An introduction to Dixel, a native Android pixel-art editor, and what this blog is for.

Welcome to the Dixel blog.

Dixel is a native Android pixel-art editor — built for drawing pixel art
directly on phones, tablets, and foldables, with a layout that adapts to whatever
screen you're on.

Dixel keeps the focus tight: pixel-perfect drawing tools, layers with blend modes,
palettes you can build or borrow, selections and transforms, and local-first

.dxl
project files that live on your device. Imports use Android's system photo
picker, and your art only leaves the device when you export it.

If you're new here, the documentation is the best place to start,
and the getting started guide walks through your first
project end to end.
