Dixel Privacy Policy

Dixel is an Android pixel-art editor provided by APPLIKU DOO NOVI SAD ("Dixel", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Dixel processes, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.

Your artwork and project files​

Dixel stores your .dxl project files in the app's private storage on your Android device. Dixel does not upload your artwork or project files to our servers by default.

You choose when to import, export, copy, or share content:

  • Image imports use Android's system photo picker.
  • Exports are created only when you request them.
  • Clipboard actions place content on the Android system clipboard or read content from it only when you invoke those actions.

Your Android device or Google account may back up app data through Android's backup features, depending on your device and account settings. Those backups are controlled by Android and Google under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

Diagnostics and app performance​

Dixel uses Sentry to help us find crashes, application-not-responding errors, and performance issues. When diagnostics are enabled in the distributed app, Dixel may send diagnostic information to Sentry, including:

  • Crash reports and error details.
  • Application-not-responding reports.
  • App version, Android version, and device model.
  • An installation identifier used to group diagnostic events.
  • Sampled performance traces.
  • Interaction breadcrumbs that help identify the sequence of actions before an error.

Release builds do not attach screenshots or view-hierarchy captures to Sentry reports. Dixel configures Sentry not to send default personally identifiable information. Diagnostic information is transmitted over HTTPS and used to maintain and improve app stability. We do not sell diagnostic data.

Purchases​

If Dixel offers paid Pro features, purchases are processed by Google Play. Google may process your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. Dixel may receive purchase status and a purchase token so that it can provide and restore Pro access. Dixel does not receive your payment-card details.

Optional Google Drive backup​

If Dixel introduces Google Drive backup, it will be optional and disabled until you choose to enable it. When enabled, Dixel will process your project files through Google Drive so that they can be backed up and restored. Google processes those files under its applicable terms and privacy policy.

Data sharing​

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers only where needed to operate app features and maintain app stability:

  • Sentry processes diagnostics and app-performance information.
  • Google may process app backups through Android backup features.
  • Google Play processes purchases if paid Pro features are offered.
  • Google Drive will process project backups only if optional Drive backup is introduced and you enable it.

Retention and deletion​

Project files stored only in Dixel's private local storage are removed when you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Copies may remain if you exported them, shared them, copied them to the clipboard, or if Android backup features retained a backup under your device or Google account settings.

Diagnostic information is retained according to our Sentry configuration. To ask us to delete diagnostic information associated with your installation, contact support@dixel.app. We may ask for information needed to locate the relevant diagnostic records.

Children​

Dixel is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy as Dixel changes. We will publish the updated policy at this same URL and revise the effective date above.
