Troubleshooting
"This project could not be opened"
The project file is damaged or incomplete. Dixel stops rather than showing corrupt art, and it leaves the file untouched. If you have Drive backup on, restore the project from an earlier copy. Update to the latest version first: older builds could crash on some large projects instead of showing this message.
Autosave or save failed
This almost always means the device is out of storage. Free up space and try again; your unsaved work stays in the editor until a save succeeds.
A project opens read-only
The project is larger than the free limits (canvas over 64×64 or more than three layers). See Free and Pro. You can still view and export it at 1× PNG; editing needs Pro.
Pro didn't unlock after buying
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchase. A verified purchase unlocks Pro again. If you are offline, connect and retry — a purchase is confirmed with Google Play before Pro turns on.
"This Android build is not supported"
A small number of devices report an Android version whose system libraries don't match, which Dixel cannot run on. This is a device/firmware issue, not a bug in your projects; your files are safe.
