Deleting your Dixel data
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This page explains how to delete the data associated with Dixel, the Android pixel-art editor provided by APPLIKU DOO NOVI SAD. It is the formal companion to our Privacy Policy.
Dixel has no user accounts and no app server. You never sign in, and we hold no profile for you. Your data lives in three places only: on your device, in your own Google Drive (if you turn on backup), and in our diagnostics provider. Each can be deleted as described below.
Your artwork and projects (on your device)
Your .dxl projects are stored in Dixel's private local storage on your Android
device.
To delete them:
- Delete a project in the app — open a project's menu and choose delete, or long-press cards to multi-select and delete in bulk.
- Uninstall Dixel — this removes all of the app's local files from your device.
Copies remain only if you exported, shared, or copied them yourself, or if your device's own Android backup retained a copy under your Google account settings.
Your Google Drive backup
Drive backup is optional and off by default. When enabled, Dixel stores your
backup in a private appdata folder in your own Google Drive using a narrow
authorization scope — we never see your other Drive files, and we keep no copy on
our side.
To delete your backup:
- Open Dixel → Settings → Backup.
- Turn off Drive backup. This removes the backup data Dixel stored in your
Drive
appdatafolder.
You can also revoke Dixel's Drive access at any time from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Diagnostics and crash reports
If diagnostics are enabled, Dixel sends crash and performance reports to Sentry, keyed only to a random installation identifier (no name, email, or account). This data is automatically deleted after 90 days under our Sentry retention setting.
To request earlier deletion of diagnostic data tied to your installation, email support@dixel.app. We may ask for information needed to locate the relevant records.
Purchases
Pro purchases are processed by Google Play, not by Dixel. Manage or review purchase history through Google Play. Dixel only receives a purchase token used to restore Pro access and does not store your payment details.
