Dixel 0.0.11: tap to name a tool, and a tidier workspace
Dixel 0.0.11 is a workspace-comfort release: the tools are easier to learn, the left toolbar is in a more natural order, and the floating panels stay out of your way.
Tap to name a tool
There are a lot of icons in the editor, and it is easy to forget what each one does. Now you can just tap it: the tool's name appears in a small label at the top of the screen for a couple of seconds, then fades away. Tap another and the label updates. The long-press tooltips are still there when you want them.
A tidier left toolbar
The left toolbar is reordered so the controls you reach for most come first: brush size, then opacity, then undo, redo, and the mirror button, then everything else. Brush size now goes up to 32 px, and if the toolbar does not fit the screen it scrolls instead of hiding buttons.
Panels that stay out of the way
The palette panel now opens clear of the left toolbar, and the layers panel opens clear of the tools on the right, so neither one covers your controls the moment you open a project. Both are still fully draggable, so you can arrange them however you like.
The full list is on the changelog.
Thanks for drawing with Dixel. More to come.
